I have to do both lower a-pillars and at least the door opening on the drivers side heater channel.  I also have to do a front clip, rear apron and a patch on the roof/a-pillar.  Lots of work still to do!

Awesome work I need you around here. The new baby has not slowed you down. Are you getting the body blasted or just the pan?

Just the pan. The plan is to make the chassis new with almost new everything. Then fix the rust issues in the body and possibly do a garage paint job to tidy things up. The goal is a reliable driver that could be a daily.

Started working on some smalls so they will be ready when the pan gets back.  I got the spindles pressed apart and the carriers cleaned, blasted and painted.  I also sprayed a little black on the new dropped disc brake spindles to keep them from rusting so fast.  Tomorrow I should get the new king pin bushings installed and reamed and everything pressed back together with new link pins.

I havent worked on this car as I misread the email about the beam. I thought it said a week out but he said 3 week out. So I decided to put Pats pan together while I waited. So in the meantime I used two of my wheels along with three of the usable wheels off the car and had them powder coated. I picked up the wheels up today and they came out nice! Plans to two-tone later.....I hope the beam comes in next week and then I can get cranking back on this one!

Finally getting back on Gordon's car.....I had to get Pat's body back on the pan so I would have room in the garage to put Gordon's pan back together.  I got all new cables ran, shift rod cleaned and installed with new shift bushing, installed front access plate with new rubber gasket, mounted the bare 3" narrowed slowlow beam, blasted and primed the shifter and e-brake, rear torsion bars installed, 2" drop spring plates installed with new rubber torsion arm bushings,  and all the metal brake lines bent and installed.......

Next I need to get the torsion leaves narrowed so I can get the beam assembled......then install the disc brakes......the transaxle has to be cleaned up before installing it too

Don't mind my broken shelf in the background!

Got the trailing arms cleaned, blasted and painted.  Also got 4 out of 5 tires installed on the wheels.  I almost broke my pinky on one of the front tires while installing so I will be taking the other front tire to the store to get put on.  The front tires are 175/55 so they are almost too wide for the wheels but they will go on if you can get the side wall to flex enough.  I also pulled the torsion leaves from the old beam and cleaned all the grease off them and installed them in the new beam.

I got the leaves cut down and re-dimpled, trailing arms installed, spindles shimmed and installed, bearings packed and rotors installed along with the calipers. Half way to a roller now! Now I have the dirty job of cleaning up the transaxle!

I almost have the transaxle ready to reinstall.  It was nasty!  Dad helped me scrap all the the junk off of it and get the transaxle case painted.  Between yesterday and today I removed and degreased the drums, brake hardware, backing plates, bearing covers, the axle tubes, bearings, spacers, nose cone and hockey stick.  I then blasted/wire brushed and painted the axle tubes, backing plates, bearing caps and drums.  I had to make a paint run as I didnt get one backing plate quite painted.   I am using duplicolor ceramic caliper paint.  More pictures probably this weekend as I am watching Colby the rest of the week.

I almost got the pan into a roller today.  I still have to tighten some of the transaxle bolts, run two brake lines, paint and install the steering box and tie rods, and hook up the e-brake cables.
