Post by ibjamn on Mon May 13, 2013 10:20 am

And I wanted to see what people are running and using for dependability in this area.

Post up some info......

Mine is a convertible, so it doesnt get driven in terrible weather, but otherwise I drive it a lot. Drive it to shows that are 3-4 hours away. Usually at around 65-70 mph the whole way. Even with my heavy foot, I seem to get around 26 MPG. Lots of torque and a great daily driver engine.

1960 Convertible with adjustable front end
1776
90.5 Mahle's
Stock heads rebuilt and de-shrouded
Stock cam
Dual 40mm Kadrons
019 Distributor with points
All cooling tin, including hoover bit and thermostat with flaps
Tri-mil "hotdog" muffler ceramic coated.
Stock 62 Tranny
145 tires on front, 195 60's on rear.
Stock drum brakes
10w40 castrol
Cheapest gas I can find
