Mityvac brake bleeding

Post by ibjamn on Tue Apr 30, 2013 10:52 pm

So, this may be common knowledge for most, but I just found out via searching the web.

I was having issues with the Mityvac sucking air like crazy from pulling air through the threading and minimal fluid being drawn. After, the brakes were still soft.
But, unscrew the bleeder valve half way out, dab a little grease around the threads and tighten back down.
After doing this, I was able to pressurize only the one time at each wheel and flushed the whole system.
