Doing a pan head is going to be harder than doing another pan

Just shortened mine 1 1/2 straight but putting a set of shims in bottom for caster. Wasn't hard @ all. Went ahead and sleeved the inside before mating, then strapped exterior. May be over kill but wanted to make sure it is safe.

Nothin wrong with that, no way I would ride in something that has a crap load of rust or pieced together, my but is sitting on it to boot!! Just say'n.

I understand why it's done would like to see the steps and where you cut it.
