72 Bay Bus

My new Bay Bus i just picked up today. The PO said it was a 72 not sure i have to look up the Vin to make sure.........It was a great deal i could not pass it up......Parts list to come. Very Happy

The only reason I question is because the location of the blinkers. Tim what is the best way to lower a Bay?

Yeah. Them lenses are up kinda high for a 72.

Could be a late '72. VW would use up what they had from pryer year then start using the new stuff even if it was a miss match like this one. Also the nose might of been replaced at some point from a big hit in the front. Never know.

take a pic of thefront end it has a 72 front bumper with a later nose on it i would love to see more pics how low you want to go

Prob something like 4 or 5 in the front and level it off in the back. My plans is to keep it blue and white. I will prob Paint the wheels white for now till I get it Rollin. Parts list to come...... I have the pancake engine that was in parts and pieces that was in side the bus I am going to sale as well a front and back bumper just like the ones on the bus. I plan to clean it Monday or Tuesday more pc to come.

I've never understood why folks leave primer uncovered like that. Primer is open pigment and the moisture goes right to the metal. Remove that primer and buy some rattle can spray the color of the bus and cover those areas. The primer isn't doing anything but hidding the brown spot!

Nice and solid, clean it up fix the little stuff and drive the crap out of it!!

This stuff works going to try to get off all of the primer off with it. I looked for a long time for a good start on a bay that was in my price range.
