2 stroke Cafe bike

Post by BKiller on Sun May 01, 2011 11:52 am

A few months ago I decided to sell my sport bike and build an old school cafe style bike.
I picked up a 77 Yamaha RD400. It is close to being done. Here are some pics.

When I first brought it home:

While I was replacing every bearing and seal:

As it sits now waiting on paint:

The spoked wheels really change the look of the bike, great job!

I used to love riding my Cafe bikes, but my back hates it. Now I just ride old enduros.

Here is my fav old bike....traded it for a bug....what a mistake!

That's a nice looking bike too!
You'll notice my Cafe bike has MX bars on it because I don't do that whole laying down thing. It may not be the exact cafe "look", but boy is it more comfortable.
