Show us what YOU did for under $100 bucks!

I'll find something I did for under $100 and post it up too.
Did you make something? Buy something?

Re: I did _____ for under $100 Bucks.

Post by meinvw on Wed Jan 19, 2011 9:41 pm

I did for $100, her name was Russel, dresed like Minnie Pearl. 30 minutes, $100 bucks, and well you know, had to be there......

For reference sake......here is where I stole it from...

"A Lap Dance Is So Much Better When the Stripper is Crying"

I was lonelier than Kunta Kinte at a Merle Haggard concert
That night I strolled on into Uncle Limpy's Hump Palace lookin' for love.
It had been a while.
In fact, three hundred and sixty-five had come and went
since that midnight run haulin' hog to Shakey Town on I-10.
I had picked up this hitchhiker that was sweatin' gallons
through a pair of Daisy Duke cut-offs and one of those Fruit Of The Loom tank-tops.
Well, that night I lost myself to ruby red lips,
milky white skin and baby blue eyes.
Name was Russell.

Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
Well I find it's quite a thrill
When she grinds me against her will
Yes a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'

Well, faster than you can say, "shallow grave",
this pretty little thing come up to me and starts kneadin' my balls
like hard-boiled eggs in a tube sock.
Said her name was Bambi and I said, "Well that's a coincidence darlin',
'cause I was just thinkin' about skinnin' you like a deer."
Well she smiled, had about as much teeth as a Jack-O-Lantern,
and I went on to tell her how I would wear her face like a mask
as I do my little kooky dance.
And then she told me to shush.
I guess she could sense my desperation.
'Course, it's hard to hide a hard-on when you're dressed like Minnie Pearl.

Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
Well I find it's quite a thrill
When she grinds me against her will
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'

So, Bambi's goin' on about how she can make all my fantasies come true.
So I says, "Even this one I have where Jesus Christ
is jackhammering Mickey Mouse in the doo-doo hole
with a lawn dart as Garth Brooks gives birth to something
resembling a cheddar cheese log with almonds on Santa Claus's tummy-tum?"
Well, ten beers, twenty minutes and thirty dollars later
I'm parkin' the beef bus in tuna town if you know what I mean.
Got to nail her back at her trailer.
Heh. That rhymes.
I have to admit it was even more of a turn-on
when I found out she was doin' me to buy baby formula.

Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
Well I find it's quite a thrill
When she grinds me against her will
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'

Day or so had passed when I popped the clutch,
gave the tranny a spin and slid on into
The Stinky Pinky Gulp N' Guzzle Big Rig Snooze-A-Stop.
There I was browsin' through the latest issue of "Throb",
when I saw Bambi starin' at me from the back of a milk carton.
Well, my heart just dropped.
So, I decided to do what any good Christian would.
You can not imagine how difficult it is to hold a half gallon of moo juice
and polish the one-eyed gopher when your doin' seventy-five
in an eighteen-wheeler.
I never thought missing children could be so sexy.
Did I say that out loud?

Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
Well I find it's quite a thrill
When she grinds me against her will
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'

If I hadn't had the T-backs, I was going to have to go this route on the Jap beetle.
The Rivi's and the Empi 8's were just toooo off set for the lowered struts all the way down.
Even with the T-backs, a 195 65 was into the just barely.
With the 145 65's it looks like a 2-3" narrowed beam up front...

Maybe some pics later but here is what I used...

Some exterior carpet from Lowes. 12ft wide and about $6.00 per linear foot. I bought enough to cover the floor and it cost me about $30.00.

Two sheets of 4x8 1/4 inch plywood. $15.00 each $30.00 total.

Two lime green vinyl table cloths on sale at a fabric store for $3.00 each $6.00 total.

Misc stainless harware and glue $30.00.

Total $96.00

i got my 29 benz kit car, and rust free 69 baja for around $50 (the cars were free, that was towing costs to get them home Twisted Evil ).

i also got a set of riviera's for $70 ($20 for three at a yardsale, and $50 for one at IAS)

Got a mig welder from meinVW for $10 (well, i traded a bus emblem i bought for $10 at the same yardsale i got the rivieras from)

Got two engines at a yardsale (40 horse, and 1500sp) for $60, and later on from the same guy i got a dune buggy body for $100, which i traded to bryce for a rail, which i then had to sell (cuz my head hit the roof) for $300. so technically i got the dune buggy for -$200 Laughing

A few months ago I woke up to find that the passenger side mirror had fallen out and busted. So on the way home from work I stopped by Ace hardware and bought a few square feet of mirrored plexiglass for like $6. Went home and rough cut a new mirror with a jigsaw. Then just used a belt sander to bring it down to the final size. When I pressed it into the frame to see how well it was sized it snapped in and I couldn't get it out. It looks great and I may just swap out the drivers side now. I still have enough plexi to make several more.

Thanks. Stock has about a 1/4" plastic gasket that holds in the glass mirror. That's what had finally dry rotted and allowed the glass to fall out.

That makes me think of a story my friend told me, he had a 76 bus and was wanting to replace the rotten gasket around the glass you mentioned.
He asked an old timmer how to get the glass out to replace the gasket and the guy told him to slam the door.
My friend had tried this several times, and went to show the old fella that this didn't work. When he slammed the door, whammo, the glass went aloft and shattered on the asphalt. The old man looked at him with a straight face and said "told ya so..."
