Front End Rebuild

Post by Goped406 on Sun Mar 07, 2010 9:12 pm

hey guys, as some of you guys know i am about to rebuild the front suspension of my super beetle. I Have all the parts now, just trying to find the time to do it. I was wondering if anyone wanted to maybe help me install it due to me having a lack of tools. I may be able to do it this saturday but still not sure Laughing

We could probably do it here, if I get the bus fixed, right now its taking up all the prime real estate in the garage. If you come up with another location, I can bring all my super-front end rebuilding tools, including the ghetto homemade ones. Wink

Which bushings? If you are talking about the brass bushings for the tie rod flip, I pressed mine in with a vice. You just need to drill out the arms to 3/4" I think, to accept the bushings. I did not install the big brass control arm bushing when I did my rebuild, and it seems to be fine without it for now.
