Thanks guys but it is far from being ready. I hope to get some real progress done within the next couple of weeks instead of just mock up pictures. Will be working on my dining room floor this week

Ordered my RGB adapters on the 16th of November... finally got here today!  I have been busy making stickers and etching glass so I haven't had time to do anything to it anyway.  Hope to get on it right after Christmas!

Re: Pat the 64

Post by Attorney Isaiah Loophole on Wed Jan 09, 2013 6:10 pm

Been trying to get a little done on Pat.  Progress is slow but inching there slowly.

I picked up a 63 pan from Gary when I went to get pan halves for Pat's original pan.  It was too good of a deal to pass up.  I started stripping it down last week.  It had three fiberglass patches on the original pans that I wanted to get rid of.  After grinding those off it revealed 4-5 drill holes and a split in the pan.  So I welded those up but still need to finish it off.  Also peeled all the tar board off the tunnel.  Hope to get it sand blasted and painted within the next week.

Also went ahead and started on getting some of the small stuff blasted and painted.  I took the pedals apart and welded the clutch cable hook up, blasted them, etched and then painted them.  Did the same with the e-brake and shifter.

I have finally gotten something accomplished.  Finished stripping the pan and took it to the blaster.  I picked it up this morning and got it in some epoxy.

It's just dark gray epoxy primer. Raptor bed linder is next! I want a rugged look for the style car I am building.

Slowly but surely.  And yes it looks a whole lot different with the liner but exactly what I wanted.  I was going to paint the torsion housing and framehead black and just do the floors and tunnel with the bedliner but after spraying some of the liner I went ahead and did everything!  I love the texture!  I ended up using 3 out of the 4 cans that came in the kit.

Yeah I am very pleased with it Scott!

Also got the spring plates, front beam, trailing arms and torsion bar covers sand blasted and in epoxy primer. No pictures though as I ran out of daylight.

Finished painting the beam, trailing arms, springplates, shift coupler access panel and master cylinder. Went ahead and tapped all the threaded holes on the pan so things would install smoothly.  Installed the master cylinder and resevoir, most of the hard brake lines, brake line grommets, fuel line grommets, clutch cable, bowden tube, accelerator cable, pedals, pedal stop, shift rod bushing, shift rod, shifter with short shift, beam, leaf springs and trailing arms.

I still have to clean up all the drums and backing plates along with blasting and painting the tie rods, tranny cradle, nose cone, and axle tubes (after tearing the rgb's apart)
