do what you want gary but i think yours looks so clean- it would be a shame to put decals on it
maybe if they were painted on it would work...Very Happy

I was thinking the same thing at first. Then I thought about who ownes the car. If it was me I would leave it, but knowing Gary he wants his kids (and all kids) to enjoy his bug as much as he does so the herbie decals work perfect for him, his kids will love it.

It does look great just the way it is but my kids have really been wanting a Herbie and other kids just light up when they see one.
It will be a little while before he gets his stipes though. The Herbie fund is empty right now. Sad

I decided not to run the "big" engine I built and just run what is already in it. So... I pulled the engine and installed all new tins that I had powdercoated
I also cleaned up the engine bay real good and repainted it. Here is a few pictures

gary is yours super loud without the firewall material?- I took mine out when i had the engine out, now its crazy loud in the car.

actually it's not. I still have the sound deadning material on the inside under the carpet. I actually can't tell a difference. I also used bedliner material to paint the engine bay so it probably helps some.
